A real example, built by computer from a chest CT with all names removed. You can turn it with your finger or mouse. Orange is a lung spot (nodule). Green is a second, very small spot the AI tools found.

What you get
From doctor words to your words.
Scan reports are written for doctors. We turn them into something you can read at the kitchen table, then give you good questions to ask at your next visit.
“8 mm solid noncalcified nodule, right upper lobe. Recommend follow-up CT in 3 months per Fleischner criteria.”
What we saw
There is a small spot in the top part of your right lung, about the size of a pea (8 mm). Doctors call this a nodule. Most spots this size are not cancer, but doctors like to check them again to be sure.
What the doctor wants to do
Take another CT scan in about 3 months to see if the spot has changed. If it stays the same, that is a good sign.
Questions to ask your doctor
- Is this spot solid, and does that matter?
- When exactly should I get my next scan?
- Is there anything I should do before then?
Before you start
Where do I get my scan images?
The pictures belong to you. By law, the hospital or imaging center has to give you a copy when you ask.
💿 A CD or DVD
Many places hand you a CD after the scan. If you have one, you’re ready. You can put it right into your computer.
📞 Ask for a copy
Call the place where you had the scan and ask for the “Radiology” or “Imaging” department, or “Medical Records.” It is usually free or costs a few dollars.
💻 Your patient portal
Some patient websites (like MyChart) let you download your images. Look for “Imaging” or “Download images.” The files may be in a zip folder; that’s fine.
What to say on the phone:
Hi, I had a scan there on [date]. I’d like a copy of my images on a CD, and a copy of the written report, please.

Questions
Common questions
Please read the first one before you start.
Is this a doctor? Does it replace my doctor?
No. MyScanGuide is not a doctor, hospital, or clinic, and nothing here is a diagnosis. The results come from AI computer tools. They can miss things that are there and point out things that turn out to be nothing.
Use your explanation to understand your scan and to get ready for your next visit. Always talk with your own doctor before you make any health decision. If you have an emergency, call 911.
Which one should I pick?
If you had an X-ray, pick X-ray. If you had a CT (sometimes called a “CAT scan”), pick CT scan. If your report says words like “high resolution,” “HRCT,” “low-dose screening,” “thin slices,” or “angiogram/CTA,” pick High-detail CT. If you have several scans, a PET scan or an MRI, pick Full analysis.
Answer two quick questions and we’ll tell you. If you pick the wrong one, we’ll contact you before we do anything. You will never be charged more without saying yes.
How long does it take?
Most results are ready within 3 business days after you pay. Big orders can take a little longer. We e-mail you as soon as your results are ready.
What do I need to send?
Your scan images: a CD from the hospital, or files you downloaded. Send everything you have. You don’t need to open or check the files first. If you also have the written report (a PDF or a photo of the paper), send that too. It helps.
How do I pay? Can I use a coupon?
You pay once, after your files are sent, with a credit or debit card on a secure payment page. If someone gave you a coupon code, type it in the Coupon code box before you pay and your price goes down right away.
What if you can’t read my files?
We’ll e-mail you to help. If we still can’t use them, we give you your money back in full.
Who can see my images?
Only you, when you are signed in, and the small team that runs your review. We never sell, share or publish your images. Names and ID numbers are taken off before any AI tool sees them. Read our privacy notice.
Can you send the results to my doctor?
You can download and print everything from your page and bring it, or e-mail it to your doctor yourself. The Full analysis includes a detailed report written for doctors.
For information only. Not medical advice. MyScanGuide does not diagnose, treat, or replace a doctor. AI tools can be wrong. Always talk with a qualified health care provider about your health. In an emergency, call 911.
Ready to understand your scan?
It takes about 10 minutes to sign up and send your files. You don’t pay until your files are sent.
